On the spacious castle premises, situated on the Lower Rhine, we offer you a number of possibilities to celebrate a unique wedding in or around the castle. Invite your wedding guests to a standing reception after the wedding ceremony or enjoy a noble candlelight dinner in the historic halls. We gladly advise you with regard to your wedding ceremony.

To ensure your wedding ceremony at Schloss Wissen becomes an unforgettable experience, three different venues in and around the castle are at your disposal. The historic halls “White Salon” and “Large Dining Room” with the Billiard Room as connecting room are situated in the main building of the castle. The “Historic Watermill”, beautifully located at the mill pond, grants you and your wedding guests a stunning view of the surrounding landscape. The “Nierskabinett” and the Millroom are found here and are at your disposal for your special day.

The Historic Watermill, which has its origins in the 13 century, is the ideal venue for your civil wedding ceremony and wedding function, with a maximum of 60 guests. The small “Nierskabinett” is reached via a wound wooden stairway. From the “Nierskabinett” you have a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape through floor-to-ceiling windows. In the “Nierskabinett” up to 30 guests can be seated in rows. With the help of a connecting door, the Millroom next door can also be used. On request, the champagne reception can be served downstairs or, weather permitting, outside on the lawn. The breakfast room for our overnight guests is downstairs and can also be used for functions.

Marry in style in the castle with up to 24 guests – we gladly fulfil this dream with a wedding in the White Salon. The lovingly restored room, featuring elaborate stucco work, today offers you a special setting for your wedding. It is situated in the main building of the castle and can also be used for a festive wedding ceremony with buffet.

With its many windows, its magnificent wood-panelled walls and the cosy fireplace, the Large Dining Room, in the main building of the castle, exudes a special ambience. We can either set up the 94 m² function room for up to 80 guests with round tables or alternatively with square dinner tables.
