Confer and celebrate in the historic Watermill of Schloss Wissen. The Mill, with its origins in the 13th century, offers place for 48 persons on the first floor and, because of its floor-to-ceiling windows, a grand view of the surrounding countryside. The Watermill disposes of two conference rooms: the “Nierskabinett” with 42 m² and the Millroom with 64 m². These two rooms are easily transferred into one unit via sliding doors.
Many historic elements of the old mill were left intact during the sanitation process and are now complemented by modern conference technology and WLAN. Apart from various seating possibilities and individually defined purposes, the “Nierskabinett” is also hired out for civil wedding ceremonies.

Confer within old walls where the ceilings and floors originate from the oak forests of Wissen. Because of the panorama views of the surrounding landscape and the outer bailey, the light flooded rooms of the mill offer optimal conditions for a successful day. Apart from short coffee- and tea breaks, lunch and dinner are also served in the mill.
We gladly organise leisure activities with overnight stays in our comfortable guesthouses. Should your event be bigger, the lower floor of the Historic Watermill can be utilised additionally.

The Historic Watermill is perfectly suited for quiet and undisturbed conferencing. Smaller groups can utilise the conference rooms separately; larger groups have the possibility of splitting the group over various rooms or to utilise one room together. On request we also book accommodation in one of our guestrooms.

A castle wedding – a dream come true at Schloss Wissen. Not only can you say “yes” to each other here but, you can also hire the historic rooms of the Mill for your ceremony. Civil wedding ceremonies regularly take place in the “Nierskabinett”. The rustic rooms, enclosed by old walls, offer the perfect setting for this special day in your life. Subsequently, we serve you and your guests with small appetizers, together with a glass of sparkling wine, or we prepare a festive buffet in the Watermill.

Civil Wedding and Reception in Historic Watermill
Say “yes” to each other in the Historic Watermill and then invite your guests to a glass of sparkling wine, Schloss Wissen apple juice or Schloss Quelle (water). Alternatively we prepare small appetizers for your champagne reception. The bridal couple is responsible for registering their wedding at the registry office in Weeze.

Information regarding the wedding ceremony:
The Wedding Arrangement is bookable from a minimum of 40 persons and for a duration of up to 10 hours. The following service features are included in this arrangement: room rent, ancillary- and cleaning costs, high tables, table linen and chairs including slip covers, assembly and disassembly, event management, kitchen team, service team, 5-armed candelabras – including candles – for decoration, menu cards, buffet labelling, sunshades.
